Every winning family also gets a free year of Spriggy, or a prize of equivalent value if your family or kid isn’t eligible for Spriggy. A design can receive both a judged award and People’s Choice. Pocket money is normally paid into your kid’s Spriggy account; if that is not possible, the parent or guardian receives the same amount by bank transfer. Prepaid Classic members receive a 12-month extension after their paid period. Plus and Premium winners receive the Classic-equivalent benefit and pay the difference. Other fees and charges can apply. Meet the judges

  • Alex Badran

    Founder, Spriggy

    Alex started Spriggy so kids could learn about money by actually using it. Ten years on, he still loves seeing what kids choose to put on a Spriggy Card, and he’s on the lookout for the design that makes him laugh the hardest.

  • Jon Hollamby

    Creative Director, Spriggy

    Jon is Spriggy’s Creative Director and designed the Spriggy Cards kids carry today. He’s looking for the design that makes him wish he’d drawn it, and the weirder the idea, the better.

  • Ariana Hendry

    Co-founder, Beysis

    Ariana is a female founder who co-built Beysis into a much-loved Australian personalised lifestyle brand. She’s also a very proud Spriggy mum, and can’t wait to see the creativity our young designers bring to the table.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need to be with Spriggy to enter?

No. Entry is free for any Australian parent or guardian of a child aged 18 and under on 30 September 2026. Each child can enter one design, and brothers and sisters can each enter their own. Marketing emails are optional, so you can get the kit, enter and win without signing up for them.

What will people see of my kid’s entry?

Your child’s design, first name and age group appear in the public gallery during and after the competition. We never show your email address. Australian residents aged 18 or over can vote, once per email address for each design.

What are the rules for the design?

Use the printable or Canva template from the kit. The best designs work around the chip and logo the template shows. The design must be one child’s own work and their own idea, so no characters from shows, games or movies (like Pokémon, Bluey or Disney), no brand names or logos, and nothing made with AI. Keep it to drawing. Please don’t include photos of people, including your kid. Upload it as a still JPEG or PNG, up to 10MB.

What happens if a design breaks the rules?

We may remove it from the gallery and take it out of the running for prizes. If you’re not sure whether something in your kid’s design is OK, email hello@spriggy.com.au and we’ll help.

How are winners picked, and when do we find out?

Alex, Jon and Ariana judge each age group (9 and under, 10 to 12 and 13 to 18) on creativity, originality, effort and craftsmanship for the child’s age. Public votes decide only the $250 People’s Choice prize. Entries and voting close at 11:59 pm AEDT on 1 November 2026. We email winners and announce them by 15 November 2026. We plan to turn the overall winning design into a real Spriggy Card, subject to feasibility and approvals.
